food is ok. i like the frosted orange but its way to thick. the chilli dog and fries are pretty good for a casual dining place. service is extremely wuick. staff was really friendly. i also had their lemon ice cream and i really enjoyed it.

The Greatest Bar...yea, that's a lie. If it weren't for the awesome people I was there with, it would have been a complete bust. Inconvenient location down a kinda sketchy street- definitely wouldn't walk it alone. The drinks were expensive, the bar tenders were inattentive the rooms are set up awkwardly and someone got arrested on the way out. I didn't see the whole situation, but I really think it's a bit excessive to arrest someone at a bar...if they're being drunk and rowdy, kick them out before you drag them out in cuffs. Downer.

Parish is disappointing me. I would really, really like to give them four stars. The space is amazing. The food is delicious, and they have all kinds of interesting stuff to eat. And, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Without exception everyone there is cheerful and polite. Unfortunately there are recent developments I just can't overlook. First, parking has become quite difficult, especially for carryout. I'm not going to valet my car while I run in and pick up something I called ahead for. Next, this afternoon I had to wait in a ten minute line to get my ordered-ahead carryout -- which I could actually see sitting there waiting for me the entire time. Finally, and most unforgivably, my favorite dish has gotten less delicious. I really like their gumbo. I have ordered it a half-dozen times and enjoyed it immensely. And yet, today, it was a pale shadow of itself. In the past it's been thick, hearty, full of sausage and chicken and other delicious bits of deliciousness. Today it was thin, almost soupy. I spent a long time forlornly poking my spoon around, searching for the meat. The only thing that bobbed up was a childhood memory of those "where's the beef?" commercials. I'm hoping this was an isolated incident. I can live with parking and waiting problems (I think) but I can't stomach a second-rate bowl of gumbo, especially knowing how great it could be. Parish, please give me my gumbo back.
