by RedlineFight S. on I watched the Brazil vs Portugal game at Phoenix Landing. It wasn't too crowded, and they had breakfast & lunch menus. I ordered a drink that took a little while to be served (I honestly hadn't noticed - it was very busy) but it was pointed out to me by 2 apologetic waitresses. One told me that they were out of fresh mint, so someone went to the store to get some for me. (my drink didn't require mint, and they laughed when I pointed this out - but that was a nice touch). I had a buffalo chicken sandwich that was fantastic.....Their attention to detail is what made me give them a 5...I'll go there more often!
by Avon T. on After our adventures in Las Vegas, we wanted to continue with our 'clubbing' mode and chose Boulevard3 to satisfy that need. We were able to get on a list so didn't have to wait in line or pay the cover. The thing with this is that even if you are on the list if you don't get there before 10:30 you are assed out and have to pay the $20 cover anyways but if you aren't on the list and get there after 10:30 they won't even let you in to pay the $20 cover charge! That's kinda random to me but whatever. All of our group was on a list but some of them arrived after 10:30 had to pay the cover but at least they got in. The club itself was very cool. I agree with everyone else that reviewed B3 that the pictures are nicer then the club itself but none the less it was still really nice inside. Lots of areas to sit and actually have a conversation if you don't want to dance. Some of the tables/couches were reserved but tons weren't and you are free to sit. One thing that I really did like was that it was so spacious with tons of different areas.....a 'library area', outside, near the fireplace, and of course the dance floor. Beware: The dance floor is raised about 3 inches of the ground so if you are a bit buzzed it is best to make your way to the middle to get your groove on. The music was alright...not the best but not the worst either. Now the bathrooms.....on the positive side, there wasn't a crazy line, even for the women, but it was seriously down some scary steps. Now unbuzzed they would be okay but with a few drinks in you they were a bit sketchy. The crowd was mixed and the drinks were strong. The drinks we considered as "cheap" compared to Tryst and XS in Vegas but were not at all "cheap". I think they were about $12 or $13 for cocktails and shots.....not sure because thank goodness we didn't have to pay :-) . There are times when being a girl comes in handy!
by Dusty Danneman on a fairly vacuous place that everyone hates yet begrudgingly attends. you'll find your fair share of tight jeaned, 80s excess loving, holier than thous. (i love that they pick a chain bar for their hangout) though as of late the warehouse crowd has caught on and now there's more of a mix. beauty bar's greatest downfall is its setup. the dance floor backs onto the bar making it hard to get drinks. they have a $20 min tab! the bartenders are not fast nor polite. it could be helped immensely with a redesign allowing for better access to drinks from the courtyard. not a good venue to see a band. fine for a dj.
