by Sue G. on A gem in South Philly! Such a fun place to eat! The menu is constantly changing with the seasons, but everything here is delicious! Carman is terrific, and will come over to talk to you to see how you are enjoying the food. A funny story about this place, once me and my sister went here for breakfast about 10 years ago. The waiter, who was a teenager (and I believe was possibly Carman's son) was going over all the menu items of the day. On the menu was this incredible french toast with cream cheese, mango and jalapenos. He told us "It's better than sex...or at least that is what my mom says". We just burst out laughing when he said that! Needless to say, that is what we ended up ordering, and it was fabulous!
by Agnes Billingsby on 2 Stars is all I can give Ten Pin. The 2 stars are for the awesome appearance. This place is amazing, like Alicia states you are greeted by this HUGE bouncer, you enter and have the stairs to walk up then you are left speechless at the appearance. In my opinion you have to see it for yourself. I can't really give it more than 2 stars. I honestly felt under dressed going bowling. It could be that place is overly pretentious because Atlantic Station is suppose to be on a higher scale. BUT When I go bowling I like to bowl and have a good time. My idea of bowling is a T-shirt, jeans and sneakers. I've never seen people go bowling in dresses and 4 inch stilletos. To me this place has a little too much going on for comfort. I was so turned off by the crowd that we ended up leaving and never having the opportunity to show these people how real bowlers bowl.
