First word of advice: If it is a Friday or Saturday night, don't be like me and wear 3-inch heels when coming to Gloria's, because though you will be super-tall (yay!), your feet will eventually start killing you (boo.) because you WILL have to wait to be seated. However, back to the yays, while waiting you can have a scrumptious mojito at the bar, which will be served to you rather quickly by one of their on-fire bartenders. And, for my little group, we were entertained while waiting for our table by a very drunk Colombian man named Juan, who was eventually escorted from the bar, but not before he came and creepily hit on my friend Shanna to everyone else's delight. As for the food, Shanna and I split some fajitas, which was more than enough for both of us, and the steak was so tender and well-spiced I almost kicked myself.

If you want to do Sunday Fundays to the max, you need to start at Lime. Yeah, the food is mediocre (have had fritatta, and the chicken BLT, which were both just okay). Yeah the wait is usually an hour or two. But you go to Lime for what it is, brunch at a club. Granted there is a long wait, but the music is always blasting, and you can start your unlimited mimosas while you wait. It's $7 for mimosas, but if you want another refill while you wait, its $2, otherwise its bottomless once you get seated. Lime always does this different, they used to give you a ticket for another free refill while you wait, and have also done some other stuff in the past. The bathroom situation is ridiculous. There is always a long wait and people take forever and a day. Be prepared to hold it for 15 minutes in line or go somewhere else. You can come in sweats if you want but be prepared to see people trying to sport the latest fashions (girls dolled up as if they were going to XS in Vegas, and the guys also come fairly dressed up). Lime always brings a good time, and you can never just go home afterward. It's Sunday Funday so you end up hitting the bars after, and then you really end up paying for it the next day at work.

who wouldn't want to be the belle du jour in a fabulous cocktail dress? or is that belle du nuit? whatever, i love a good old baroque bar with expensive drinks.
