As usual, loved the crowd, laid back ness, saw ladies changing out of their heels into flip flops in the car in front of us parked on the street. Its free before 10pm but dead before 10pm. And then the music always sucks before 11:25pm, about 11:30pm then the music gets really upbeat all the time, dancing music, less ambience music and they bring an mc and everything and the places comes alive. Bar tab is minimum $20 for credit card.
by Pat F. on A friend and I went to lunch here today, because we work in the neighborhood and were really tired of the other nearby places to eat. We had a nice lunch (pannini with a side salad) and freshly brewed iced tea. The sandwich was delicious and the side salad had a pleasing combination of flavors and textures. The service was good and accurate - they left the cheese off at my request. The volume level of surrounding conversations and background music was low enough that we could talk without shouting at each other. It's a nice alternative to the other SOMA places within walking distance and I'll definitely make it a regular lunch time place.
by Shenita Klee on I went to this little establishment on a Thursday night (Reggae night), so my review may be a bit biased based on the fact that I love reggae. With that said I would like to say I was very unsure of this place when we came strolling up, like others have mentioned the area is a bit seedy with a questionable charachter or two strolling about. We made it in place with suprisingly little hassle (four girls) although there was quite a line forming outside as we were ushered in and happened to make it to the bar in the last five minutes of happy hour and the bartender suprisigly gave us happy hour prices (buy one get one free, very nice!) i was shocked! The Reggae was decent although they couldnt resist switching it to top40 rap as it closed in on midnight :/ , they have an outside area, and a decent sized dance floor. All in all I was pleased with the experience and I would be willing to go there again.
