This is 2 stars because the description for 2 stars is exactly how I would review this place: "Meh. I've experienced better." First, the cover charge for this place was $25. OK, I guess it's my fault for not looking into this earlier, but seriously? If I had a really good time at this place, then the $25 would be justifiable. But looking back, I'm not too happy about paying that amount for the cover fee. Anyways, the party was A-OK in the beginning. As more people came in, I was hoping that the party would only get better and better. I would say Cielo has cleaner-dancers than the other places that I've seen (which is a good thing for Cielo). Cleaner, I mean not as much grinding action going on.. The music was just too repetitive. Also, I wish they played more hip hop music or some music that I know that I can dance to. Overall, I would not go back to this place, especially if I have to pay that amount as cover fee.

I will be the first to admit that MJQ can be hit or miss. But when it hits, oh how it hits! I've been here when it's dead and awkward, I've been here when it's absolutely packed to the gills... I definitely prefer the latter. The breakdancing room in the middle is always my go-to spot, as I've come in here to escape the sweatiness of the main room of MJQ for a bit of dancing or to save my eardrums from the loud music at Drunken Unicorn on a date. And either way I've had a great time. 5 stars for the middle room, where they pump the air conditioning and always play fun, lighthearted music. Oh, and you can dance battle, if that's your kind of thing. The main room of MJQ can be awesome, boring, or scary: totally depends on the night you arrive and what you decide to make of it. But to be honest, that's part of what I love about this place. You can go in, ready to shake it, and have the absolute time of your life. Or, you can arrive a little early, be welcomed in to an empty awkward space, and decide to leave early. It's like a choose your own adventure novel, and hell, I loved those suckers.

I've had some really fun nights at the Rite Spot watching my friends play music. Sometimes it has the feeling of a large living room, comfy and cozy. They have some great regular musicians. The food isn't bad and I found it to be a good place for a date mid-week as it's dimly lit and the music isn't overwhelming, it's also usually not too crowded mid-week. I rarely pass up an invitation to the Rite Spot because I know I'll have a good time with good friends, if you get a chance you should check it out!
