Needs a new owner who knows what he's doing.  What a shame that the ONLY beautiful nightclub in downtown has to be a failure.  I went first time on their soft opening 6 months ago.  Very disspointed.  Went again cause friends convinced me to go on Christmas night after all the festivities...  ugh.  I will never go back ther again unless someone else buys it out who knows what they are doing when running a nightclub.  A bunch of serious fights that night, security is way to "hands on" and people running to their cars to get guns.  lol. Thoroughly dissapointed.

As soon as I walk in, I get the rude hostess. Its like winning the lottery except instead of millions of dollars they give you a swift kick in the behind that reaches through to the perineum (often referred to as the taint) leaving you to agonize in pain as she sprints you to a table. The waiter ends up being very nice. It feels as if they are playing good cop bad cop only to watch you squirm under the lighting; only in this case its the lack thereof. We start with something simple- calamari. It was decent, but shockingly not as good as the calamari served at Macaroni grill (another Brinker company). I see pesto on the menu (see profile for preference). Maybe its not too late for redemption. It finally arrives. I see whole pine nuts- atypical for me, but that's okay. The chicken is shredded in a way that makes me believe that the cooks are fans of "Where's Waldo?" Oh, what the hell, Im hungry. I dig in and at the bottom one of the most unforgivable sins against pesto. It seemed like the pesto had a cup of pasta water in the bottom of the bowl. I was expecting a descendant of Cousteau to present the deep sea with regards to pesto. Luckily, some Lexapro pharm reps were sitting across from us. In the end I feel dirty for being mean to a chain restaurant, but they shouldn't put something as classic as pesto and literally piss on it with pasta water as if the pasta had just watched a 4 hour movie.

Not the same experience (obviously) since you're eating in an airport. But good enough to quiet the BBQ demons until the next time you're in Austin and can make it to the restaurant!
