This place was pretty good. Love the posh atmosphere- you could dress up going here, and still only have to pay $5 for a burrito. Not to mention we happened to make it there for what I believe was Happy Hour- meaning $3 Margaritas that weren't too slim on the alcohol. Love the U-shaped red velvet seating. Nice glittery chandeliers. Laid-back waiters and waitresses that were unobtrusive but friendly and helpful. I had the Veggie burrito- which is why there's one star missing in my rating.. Taste good? Yes, for the most part. But- I was a bit disappointed that it was mostly stuffed with raw cabbage, which tastes nice and fresh at first, but after a while starts to get old. I found myself enjoying the bean side of the burrito, but a bit burnt out on the overflow of cabbage about halfway through.. What about avocado? Doesn't that count as vegetarian? Or lettuce? Steamed broccoli? More warm stuff might have been nice, in combination with the raw. Otherwise, I would go here again. Nice atmosphere, and makes you feel rich when you're not.

Men get into Circle by buying pricey bottle service. Girls get in by looking good. "Booking," for those who are unfamiliar with the term, happens when a girl gets dragged by a waiter to a table of waiting men. In exchange for her name, the girl is invited to take a few shots (ie. "YOOO- let's get this girl drunk"). A little small talk, a little giggling, before the girl politely excuses herself to get back to the dance floor. If *magic* happens, then maybe the guys get her number, and the waiter gets a nice big tip. Some people consider booking a valuable dating service. I waver between seeing it as some sort of female empowerment and softcore prostitution. Mostly, though, I just think it's hilarious. As a club, Circle can be a lot of fun. There are two balcony-like tiers for bottle service- providing a real voyeuristic atmosphere for those who splurge. The club is, no surprise, Circle shaped, with a huge dance floor downstairs. Dancing is of the bump-and-grind variety, and you can watch throngs of girls and guys with little rhythm writhing to K-pop and top 40 remixes. Sometime after midnight, the emcee will announce everyone who is celebrating their birthday and a new band, dance group, or singer will take the stage for a short performance. It's a fun, show-timey experience- if, that is, you can get in. I don't know if you have to be Asian to get in. We bought in one of our Italian girlfriends in last time with no problem (but again, I only come by for parties with bottle service). You will, however, have a problem if you are not dressed correctly. Proper footwear for the girls is required. No uggs, no ugly sandals, but if you talk to Joe, pretty girls might get a pass. Guys, on the other hand, are an entirely different story. It's not easy to get in unless you are buying bottle service or paying cover. Still, the strict door really pays off. Enter Circle and you'll find mostly pretty, collegiate-aged girls (who, IMHO, all kind of look alike..), ready and willing to drink all the free shots or pricey cocktails you can throw down their throats. If that sounds like your type of fun, then by all means, get yourself to Circle on Thursday and Friday nights! This place can be fun- if you can stand it. On principle, it's not my kind of place but, strangely, as upbeat and scene-y as the place is, I always have a really relaxed and enjoyable time.

Love love love love. Some of the most amazing views of the water and just... just amazing. Pretty freakin delicious shrimp cocktail, otherwise I didn't eat anything nor did I drink while there, but man oh man the views, the atmosphere, the shear separation from what we think in Manhattan while there. It was a complete fucking discovery, and I thank god for the random friend of a friend who knows every nook and cranny of NYC. He brought us there after brunch, Chelsea Market, High Line. I recommend going with a friend like that - maybe you can get a detailed tour of the actual Frying Pan boat like we did!
