by cassina Q. on A local guy recommended this place and..... I am a little mixed with this place. My friend and I did have a great time here, and here comes the....BUT.....its nothing special. The entrence, you can either walk down the stairs or take the slide...yes..there is literally a slide. I think that is the only thing that makes this place different. It is really crowded but I am used to LA packed clubs so that didn't bother me, the crowd...hmmm...questionable. I mean, you either had the snobby girls or the real laid back I can get a long with type. The guys...creepy white guys or guys just looking to drink and have fun. So it was mixed. The crowd was diverse which was nice though. Drinks were good, expensive but its vacation, we planned on spending money. All in all it is a fun spot but we didn't stay...needed a different spot.
by Marshall Eytcheson on Cafe du Nord is a really small space, but hasn't ever felt crowded to me. (Maybe 'cause I've gone on school nights?) Great place to hear music up close. By the way, kudos to my bartender tonight. I hadn't been there in a long while and forgot what the beer selection was like, so I asked if they had an IPA. He said yeah and poured me a bit of Racer 5 IPA from the tap to try out before I ordered a whole glass. Nice. Great classic vibe, no attitude.
