Ohhh Drai's how I loathe thee....let me count the ways. FIrst of all I have been to this establishment before, for my birthday, and it was a nice one. I read the reviews about the experiences in regards to waiting in line and the what I would like to call..."the selection". Basically the way it works is that the line does not go in by order....there are guys that walk by and select the people that they want to go in. Before walking up the main guy at the end of the line told me this. I can understand branding and wanting your establishment to have a certain image, but c'mon...really....who are these bouncers and doormen to judge. literally the group of men and women in front of me couldn't get in even if they were buying bottle service and the large group of men did only because they we're willing to pay double. This is no joke guys, they were negotiating bottle prices....seriously. ...think twice before you go here. Yeah pretty club a beautiful image, but at what price....money...it's only money but judging a persons worth based on their physical appearance....not cool. drais get's a A for appearance but ethics and morality an F...I love HOLLYWOOD :).

A great dj has this elusive ability to tune in to the crowd, to capture and unite their rhythm, so that you begin to forget where you are and just begin to flow as one collective whole. If one thing is clear from club hopping in San Francisco, it's that a great club has nothing to do with its size or how chic or edgy its decor is. All that matters is the music. When the dj hits that vibe, the crowd floats out of the restless state of looking for excitement and everybody starts to look warm and beautiful. Shine is one of the few places where I have shown up on some random night and experienced this on a regular basis.
