by Ryan W. on OK. So first of all I totally disregarded all the negative reviews on here and other sites. EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE I talked to said this was the place to go. So I did what any educatumacated person would do and got TABLE SERVICE! For her birthday, I surprised my girlfriend with 3 bottles at a table close the dance floor. The group showed up at 11:30 and got almost right in. Yeah, you will have trouble the later it gets, but thats just how clubs operate. So get there early. Actually had one friend show up around 2:30 and my promoter (Denise, I love you!) grabbed him for me and he got right in. It doesn't hurt if you also have 10 hot girls and 2 guys like we did. As far as the club atmosphere goes, it is worth the hipe. The LED lighting is insane and the sound system not too loud, but hits hard enough to dance your ass off. It is NOT cheap, so unless you're ready to shell out for a table or pay premiums for drinks, don't go here. Do yourself a favor and go to Brother Jimmy's Bait Shack for a fish bowl. Will definately be back soon.
by Emory Datte on Well, I went with my sister and a girl friend - we had 8 pm reservations and were seated by 8:20. We saw our waitress twice - when she took our drink/food orders and a second time when she came to apologize for 'missing in action'. I had the filet mignon with fried onion rings and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place. Oh, and Bey and Jay were seated 3 tables away.
by Johnny Ramer on I can honestly say this is the ultimate in casual swank as sports bars are concerned. The uplit, flowing sheer drapes thinly veiling the brick veneer set a Miami-esque vibe that is simultaneously comforting and disarming. The generous smattering of tSamsung Flatscreens everywhere you look cements you squarely in whatever sporting event you're watching. Good thing, too as the food will send you on a culinary "dream orbit " that most hi-end restaurants fail to achieve. From the signature tenderloin sliders, to the chilled shrimp and crab tower, the Greek Isle Calamari, or the fried shirmp/oyster appetizer, the true sports fan/food lover/ social sponge will find their niche at Austin's best kept secret. I've been to lunch, dinner, happy hour and each time the food, service, and environment are consistently phenomenal. The appetizers are so good, that in about 10 visits, I haven't made it to the entrees yet. No bother, just more to write about in the future. I've watched 3 major football games there (OK/TxTch, Dallas/NYG) and each time the place was "comfortably packed" but not sardine-like. The vibe was "hot " and the pace was electric but not too overwhelming for the staff. Doug and Matt have hit on a sweet spot Austin needs...a place for guys and gals to hang out, together (or separate) enjoy great food at reasonable prices in a very "cool" spot. It is amazing to have the quality of intelligent, obscenely good-looking people that like to eat great food, enjoy great drinks, in an uber-cool environment all in one place.
