Maybe it's that cozy, warm feeling I felt in an otherwise cold December 2008 as I sipped a whiskey and sang along to Rent showtunes surrounded by a gaggle of gay men in Christmas-themed sweaters... or that other time I serenaded my lover-now girlfriend-at the bar upstairs with a karaoke rendition of Heart's "Alone" (I believe it was a Monday night- we were, indeed, "alone.") following our official first date... I can't get enough of TOC. The warmth and happiness you feel inside this bar are a nice alternative to the "Starbucks vagina" aesthetic that greets you when you step inside nearby Sister's or the "Is this New Jersey?" aura of another neighbor, Q-Lounge. Upstairs, you can dance the night away (swap holiday sweaters for tank tops) to remixed versions of ABBA, Lady Gaga, and all the rest. Something for everyone, friendly crowd, a pleasant caricature of "gay piano bar."

Pictures are so deceiving! This place is super tiny... I'm glad I came here when it wasn't filled up! I came here with my girl on a Tuesday (salsa) night. Uhh, the crowd was coo, a lot more older people than my taste but I wasn't trippin. After not having eaten anything (my fault..ehh.), I was super buzzed after my 4th $4 margarita! Thanks Bartender Jared! Nice guy... very tenative.. Co-ed bathroom wasn't as bad as some of the reviews say. The bathroom stalls are completely closed off for secure reasons. And OMG, when my girl and i were washing our hands n talkin to each other we heard this loud ass BANGG! And I guess someone ran into the mirrors on the side of the entrance in the bathroom. Ahhh... Wow. Good job, sir. Haha The lesson was pretty fun, especially if you've had a good few drinks in ya and really DGAF! I can catch onto dance moves pretty quick so i didn't have too much trouble than some of the other salsa-impaired! haha Oh well! Oh, I was chillin by the wall checkin phone while my homegirl got picked up to dance by this guy that looked like Seth Rogan (lol) and the instructor's 'dance example' took me by the hand and SCHOOLED me in dancing! I looked like an idiot. But hey, when you're drinking and feel pretty carefree you end up enjoying yourself much more than you'd expect. So Mr. Rico Suave, whoever you are, thank you. LOL
