I've been here a few times now for New Wave City, Meat vs. Death Guild, and to see an industrial concert. The venue itself is just fine, a main dance floor and a smaller upstairs room with a tiny dance floor. The crowd in this place is totally random on New Wave City nights, ranging from 20 something bachelorette parties to kids who barely turned 21 to 40 and 50 something drag queens. On industrial/goth nights, the crowd seems to be mostly 20s to 30s gothic. Go early for the cheaper cover (but not too early or you'll be there all alone). It doesn't start getting crowded enough to make you want to dance until about 11pm or so. Word of caution: their bar pours really strong drinks, so beware!

Here's my story, at first I went to this place thought it was cool enough possibly just more of a low budge place to go dance compared to other $$ places. But honestly, the more I go, the more I appreciate the service it provides to the community. Not only is it Free admission, the door guys are really cool and remember me. The bar is reasonable. Most importantly the house dj's are fun, usually play a lot of Top 40, Hip Hop or 80's and the crowd likes it. Friday and Saturdays are usually packed after 11pm, but there is a little back room to lounge in for overflow. The rest of the week it's a chill bar with interesting lighting and a good funky vibe. Often times some great local dj's come in during the week and throw way fun parties. Besides Friday and Saturday, last Thursday was really packed down there with some great people, pretty ladies and kickin dj! I say definitely stop in on your bar crawl or Polk stroll, if it's not your scene no harm no foul, but remember that the 2nd or 3rd time around you might even start feeling the same as me.

I've been in play mode! Making the most of my winter break, and my waistline is paying for it -_- Christmas day, yes I went out Christmas day, just to show some support to my Synergy folks. I wasn't in the Christmas spirit this year, not at all. I felt like the grinch..so what better way than to get f'd up and forget about everything? I spent XMas eve with the fam..don't get me wrong. Atmosphere wasn't that packed, but that was expected...we knew that all the people out would be the ones that don't really celebrate Christmas, aka fobs (HAHA no offense to anyone..I don't mean this in a goo wok jai sense either..). We did bottle service that night - oj & cranberry juices were watered down..but damn we sure did drink a lot that night. VIP lounges are nice and comfy, a lot more open than Boss but not as many booths or whatever. From what I can remember, music was good, bathrooms were clean..and most people there were my friends so no creeper issues. Go back? Yes. Grey Goose ALL night? No.
