Honestly, you can't hate on this place!!! My job had a function here and it was a lot of fun, even for a real up tight guy like myself. The food and service here are undeniable. We must of ordered the entire menu, because we recieved appetizer, after appetizer, after appetizer, then the entrees began to fill the tables. Just as we were finishing one entree another would magically appear, we easily had about different six entrees. Not only was the food plentiful and delicious, but the drinks kept flowing all night (usually I like my drinks strong because it's the rare bartender that knows how to mix the perfect drink, most bartenders either pour too light (in most cases) are really strong, so I usually prefer strong) but these drinks had the perfect blend of juices and alcohol. They must do large groups all the time because they have everything worked out to a science. Now I'll be the first to admit the entertainment isn't for any and everyone, but if you think about it as the "ladies" taking impersonations to a whole new wild and crazy level, you'll get a real kick out of it. The "ladies" seem to have a really good time making fun of themselves and just them liking doing what they do makes it more entertaining. Not to mention Asia SF is set up perfect for dinner shows. Now here's where I run into problems, rating this place isn't really that easy with my current system. I've given places with more worst service 5 stars, I don't think that I've given anywhere with low quality or less than almost perfect tasting food 5 stars, but they probably are a couple of 5 stars restaruants with about the same level of food that I have given 5 stars to. THE ONLY REASON I'M NOT ASIA SF 5 STARS is because this is not a restaurant that I would just go to without a reason. I would literally have to be going with a large group, to celebrate something. Even the best of the best 5 star restaruants that I've rated I would go to "just because" alone or with a group. All of my 5 stars restaruants I would also recommend (some with disclamers) to friends, family, business associates, or anyone. So for me that's the only thing that keeps this from getting 5 stars.

Saw the drag show as a groupon customer. It was great that they allowed one groupon per person at the tables. The place was overly made up, a left over from another age and just plain cheesy. Perfect for a drag brunch! They were entertaining for an an audience that was composed mostly of tourists, and folks like us, drag aficionados. The "gals" were talented. The brunch itself was fair,. And the service was passable. Overall, it was worth the groupon price we each

I was a fan of this place, back in 2004. Since then this place has drastically gone down hill. Ghetto is the only way to describe this place now and it's a real shame. It use to be quite a hot spot back in the day, or maybe it's just because I'm older now. The upstairs is not as bad as the basement, it just gets disgustingly hot and for a lady that's just no fun. Downstairs in the basement is a straight up bump n grind fest. You cannot take two steps without someone grabbing your ass or thrusting their pelvis into you back. So ridiculous. Most of these guys don't even have anything going for them and the ladies are all skanked out. Covers $20. It's open until 3am or so. Drinks are over-priced and not very well made. If you're looking to get your ass grabbed and sweat off like 20lbs, this is the place for you.
