by Junior M. on I was invited here by my girlfriend to celebrate one of her friends birthdays. I was a bit hesitant to go after reading some of the reviews on here, but I was pleasantly surprised to experience the complete opposite of what all the negative reviewers experienced. My gf was told by her friend that she was on the guestlist so we reported to the VIP entrance where the bouncer told us she wasn't on the list. Strangely enough, my name was on there, and he told my gf she could come in even though she wasn't on. Where are the arrogant and pesky bouncers everyone complains about on here? Didn't see any of them. The decor was really nice, much nicer than any club I've been to in San Francisco. I also noticed that the crowd was a lot more polite and considerate than the usual club going crowd. People who bumped into me apologized, people said "excuse me" when maneuvering about, and I saw others apologize for nearly spilling their drinks on others. Impressive and remarkable for a club atmosphere. Staff was also on top of things and kept checking on our room to make sure we were getting our money's worth for the bottle service. Great service, friendly staff, and a really cool atmosphere. My only gripe was I bought a drink and what I got was 95% ice and about 5% drink, no exaggeration. That, and some of the music was a little whack. Other than that, this is my new favorite club in SF.
by Pan R. on Very small place! The guy was almost rude. Telling us we had to leave by 11pm because there were reservations made (only 1.5 hours), and kicking us out at 10:30... Geez. He also seemed to not trust us and would occasionally spy. AND he took my friend's food to store away. I mean, really? It's not like we would've bought your food anyway. The song selection is alright. The books are too disorganized though. Had no idea how to find songs. The remote is confusing too ! The one-stall bathroom was scary.
by Jamar Garrigus on A massive BRAVO to the owners of Temple in being the first club in the city to use biodegradable corn based cups. The fact that there is no city ordinance for clubs to use eco friendly cups is deplorable. Wake up Gavin! At any rate, multi levels and different rooms give Temple a nice variety. The ambiance is pretty cool as well. The smoking area could use a bit of a spruce up, but other then that it's a pretty cool venue. It's a pitty that girl had a bad experience with the meathead security guard...What a fucking asshole!
