First things first, everything in Downtown SF is EXPENSIVE, especially for a grad student looking for some fun. But if you know me you know that empty pockets wont stop me from gettin giggy with it, yeah, I just said that. So, I went to Starlight with a couple of hotties on a Wed night. The DJ was sick and the crowd was pretty mixed. Everything from your low-end douches to your Suit's were getting down and dirty on the dance floor. The women... well let just say that my eyes were wide open all night, hard thing to do for an Asian. Getting right to it... The music was good, but it was a Wed night not sure what they play on other nights. The girls were plentiful and the crowd was all about having fun. The down side is as is everyplace DT San Francisco is the high admission charge and cost of drinks. All in all it was a good time. But I'm a firm believer that its the people you're with and not the venue that makes a good time.

Been here a handful of times and I love coming back because the location is perfect, atmosphere is really neat and hip and the food although moderately priced and small portioned is very yummy. Definitely not 5 star food but well above average. What most people don't know is that there is an open roof top bar/lounge to this place. You'll have to venture down the tiny hallway in the corner to the elevator to find it. There are no signs so don't be afraid to wander into the elevator. Drinks are very expensive and I think they charged me more for them upstairs vs the dining area. Either way it's definitely a great place. Calamari Salad is delicious, but I wasn't a fan of the acclaimed lobster mac and cheese which was very plain.
