Went to Temple on a Saturday night with a group of friends b/c we were in SF for the wknd. It was my first time at Temple (and also my first time clubbing in SF) so I didnt know what to expect. The club itself is pretty decent. Its really spacious, I think. There was an upstairs and downstairs area and it has like different rooms w/ different music. The upstairs was more house music so we were mainly downstairs where they had hip hop. And we had bottle service so our booth was downstairs anyway. The little techno room is not really my cup of tea but it was cool that they had it for those that are into that kind of music. When we went, it wasnt super crowded and there was actually enough space on the dance floor to dance, unlike most clubs I've been to. The ppl were relatively mixed, but don't quote me on that b/c I think I had a bit too much to drink to really notice. But my crazy friends and I had a blast, prob b/c we made the most of the magnum size bottle of goose that we got. I'm giving a five stars more b/c I had a really good time with my friends rather than the actually place itself.

As I sit here in Chipotle writing this review, I question why I even go to places like Pure to pay twice as much for food whose quality, locality, and sustainability is often not even close to Chipotle's; but I do go and here's the verdict: Meh. While you of course get more choices at Pure than Chipotle, does that really matter when all of those choices consist of conventionally raised and processed ingredients? The food is decent; and absolutely nothing beyond that. What can I say...nothing really stands out at this place except maybe the space itself, which is laid out well. They did get my girl's veggie quesadilla order wrong (which btw isn't on the menu as are any veggie options), bringing her a chicken instead. One plus is that they do use corn tortillas instead of flour. Point right there. But, their margaritas taste more like soda syrup than anything else. To say that they're weak would be an understatement. All in all, an acceptable place to watch the US choke against Ghana; just make sure you don't choke on the food.

Fantastic find! Went here just for drinks the other night and discovered that a Haitian jazz band was going to be doing a show. So I settled in until the show began and WOW!! Was it one helluva show! Absolutely LOVED the performance (left with the cd). One thing this venue does right...it has a huge screen behind the band showing a continuous breeze, complete with palm trees and clouds, that presents a feeling of being in the caribbean. So of course, I just have to have some tropical style drinks! Fantastic venue. Incredible music. Good food. Good drinks. I'm definitely coming back. Great find!
