by Kim Brownrigg on Walking in, the place smelled and looked like a college dive bar. As you make your way to the restaurant seating, the dive bar stays (close) behind you whilst people enjoy tapas. Most of the food was subpar, I'd only recommend the tacos. The beef brisket taco was my favorite: meaty. We ordered margarita pitchers which we later found out were $25 a pop. I love margaritas, and believe if it's not strong then it's not a margarita, but these were some of the worst I've tasted in my life. Ordered both frozen and on the rocks and I can only assume they used some plastic bottle tequila. My insides still burn. If I'm ever there again I'd try the sangria. I'd much recommend going to La Fonda instead. Pretty good Mexican food (awesome paella) and strong but delicious margaritas at $20 per pitcher (or less when they do specials).

I know, it sounds like a really bad, dive bar, but in reality it's boat at Chelsea Pier that offers a unique dining experience on the Hudson River. You can get some great seafood, but try the calamari. They are super crispy and light. As for a drink, the sangria is really good (a white sangria) or opt for some of the more interesting beers (there was a blueberry beer that I did not try, but have heard good things). It might seem a bit pricey for a bar on a boat, but hey, it's a bar on a boat. How often do you get to have both of those at the same time!
by Rose F. on Strata nightclub, which is only on Fridays and Saturdays, SUCKS!!! I MEAN IT REALLY, REALLY SUCKS!!! The DJ's are horrendous. I went there on a Friday night and a Saturday night, both nights, the DJ sucked. Nightclub to me means there will be some really cool dancing, the dance floor isn't big enough for all the people they're letting into the club. As for the people that are there, boring as hell. The only time I had fun there was when I had a dance off with this really flamboyant guy there and it was fun. I think we were the entertainment for the entire night. Oh well.
