Worth all the hype: Rock Box is the spiffier hipper version of karaoking in Seattle. Large flat screen tvs, ipads to choose and organize your songs have never been simpler to do. The rooms are super clean with comfy large couches and thus surpass any of the karaoke bars in the I.D. The bamboo themed decor was a welcome touch with chill back lighting. I also will rave about the waitstaff that comes in routinely to check in for drinks - however the drinks here completely suck. Whatever they are doing to the mix comes off sour and cheap. I would knock back the drinks only on happy hour. If anything come here with lots of fun people, blast the music, bond and sing it all out till 4:00 am!

If you do not yet know the #1 Best Dance Club in the Bay Area... well... MIGHTY is boss. It is the perfect venue for all kinds of parties. None of which will let you down, because... mmhmm... you're at MIGHTY!! It just feels right. It's incredibly spacious... The bartenders are famous... The huge hardwood dance floor is enticing... (along with the plush leather couches if you'd like to sit.)... The line-ups and live performances are assured to be A+... AND, above all else, the sound quality is A M A Z I N G. No matter who you are, how you are dressed, or what you like; Mighty has a dynamite night waiting for you. So now you know. :)

At a place like Estate, I think it really matters who's spinning when you decide to go. Yes, the decor is on the gaudy side. Yes, the crowd is a bit younger and a bit, well, for lack of a better word, mangled. But, the bartenders are super friendly and hanging out up on the balcony provides a nice view of the dance floor and lends a lot of dimension to the space. I went for Roger Sanchez, who rocked the house, and the whole place was full of energy. I don't think $10 for a drink is much to complain about. If you want cheap drinks, go to your local watering hole. One downfall...the coat check is at the bottom of the steps, which makes for an awkward exit, as people pile up the stairs, waiting for their coats, as other people are trying to exit. No matter where you go, in whatever city, clubs will always carry with them the cliches (bling, bottles and bitches). Estate is no exception. But if you're into house music, they've got some pretty big names in the lineup and plenty of dancing space.
