by Jennifer B. on Allure or Ibiza or Allure?? I liked Ibiza but now it's Allure. Would you know that? Probably not b/c they never bothered to change out the sign! The lines was disorganized and bouncers take the small amount of power they are given and amp it up by 1000. Annoying. Went there for a friend's birthday party and he forewarned them that they would need to staff it with more bartenders but they didn't. I felt bad for them b/c they were nice. 4 bartenders at 2 bars for 100+ people = no alcohol.
by Anna P. on Love the layout of the dancefloor(s) and the overhanging balcony and stage. Was only here for BootieSF (Lady Gaga vs Madonna) on Pink Saturday. Lots of costumes. A number of "characters". Quite a line, though, but maybe just because it was Pride Weekend and they had a separate party for it in the upstairs room. Good times! Want to come back for their different events, etc. Main floor had good cool air flow/ ventilation, though the upstairs balcony was stifling hot (though thats where we went for the bar, since it was half as crowded as downstairs). CASH ONLY! The ATM line inside can get ridiculous (go to the cafe next door before entering).
by Mauro Mifsud on Let me just say that my first time at Tequila Rain started off with a bad experience at the door. The woman didn't have change for my cover, so I had to wait around until someone came in and gave her a $5. She handed it to me and then told me I had to give her the $5 back before I went into the bar. This idiot meathead bouncer started arguing with me that I had somehow asked for a refund in this process. Not wanting to get kicked out at the door, I told them they had blatantly stole my money and were too stupid to notice and went in to join my friends. Nonetheless, they ended up with $10 from me at the door. I guess this is an OK place if you want to dance and go nuts, but the staff in general is no good. The girls I was with ordered plenty of their slushy drinks for $9 each, which pretty much had no alcohol. Mixed drinks were in cups that looked like enlarged shot glasses. Oh and $5 Bud Lights?? Negatory.
