by Agatha Baughan on Lets face it, even great music can be wrecked by a shitty club and I would have to say that Mighty never ruins my experience in seeing the best DJs. The space is large enough to not be cramped and I always have room to dance, although I have been in there for Love Parade after party when it was so packed and hot, it was crazy. The bathrooms are usually ok the first part of the night but they should hire someone to keep them up as we dance till 3 or 4 or more. I love the dim lighting in the bathroom when I am half drunk. Who wants to look at themselves in harsh florescent lighting? The crowd is always cool and friendly and so are the door people. Very important to have a good vibe from the first people who greet you. Never a bad vibe at MIghty from my experience.
by Clark H. on Shine is that little gem in San Francisco that can successfully combine a club with a lounge setting, provide consistently good music, provide a friendly staff and great drinks - and never let's us down. If you like house or breaks music - or really just good sounding soulful music - this place is the place for you. There is never an attitude here - just a place to come with friends and feel good about yourself, your surroundings and having a great time. Add to that the free photo booth in the back, bottle service in the walls, and funky bathrooms - not to mention the sick, clear sound system - and you've got the perfect Saturday night in San Francisco.
