I REALLY like this venue. It's gorgeous. A bit out of my element, I came here to see Trash Talk; A hardcore band from Sacramento (if memory serves me well?) with thrash punk roots. I actually REALLY enjoyed myself. The venue is stunning, intricate architecture and decorated well. Filigree carpeting and curtains hanging in every doorway. I'm not gonna lie, I kind of felt like a princess walking around in here. The stage area is really cool, there's some little booths with pillows and tables and an overhead railing for a better view of the stage. There's a room with a bar and a lounge as well. Stunning restrooms with friendly attendants. The security guard was even cool - the crowd got a bit rowdy at times and there was stage diving, pitting, tons of broken glass. The security guard walked up and we thought he was gonna be a bust - but to our surprise, he stood in the pit and participated in watching the band and head banging! Ha ha ha, AWESOME. On that note - one of the door guys was rad-looking too. Some Asian guy dressed all Victorian Vampiric. Very intriguing. I would have conversed with him if I wasn't with so many people that night, would have been rude. I wish there were more good shows here, I will make an effort to make that happen. Parking was lucky too - we parked right down the street. 5 minute walk.

Great food and loads of laughter. My friend's and I have couple's night about once a month, there was about 10 couple's we had a ball. THe food was delicious and we laughed all night long. Mature crowd, great hang out spot.

I've been here a few times now. This place seems to be tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. It had the best sound system in the City, but they changed the system, and it's not the same, as my BF says, who is an Audio fanatic hehe. :D Venue is a good size; drinks are strong and cheap, as you get the drinks pretty fast. They have a little room where they play a different type of music.

Went to Hiro for the first time this past Sunday. I probably would have had a better time had I had a few more drinks, but I had a good time. Very big dance floor with minimal standing space elsewhere. The DJ was very good, playing an eclectic mix of dance tracks. Some of the go-go boys needed a lesson or two. $12 vodka tonics, in a tiny plastic cup...never again. Get your fill before you head to Hiro. Ran into Carson from Queer Eye. He was actin a hot mess, makin out with some guy next to us. Not my fav gay bar, Hiro does a good job with their decor, music, and ample dance space.

This is a review of their cocktails and bars (upstairs and downstairs)... age range 30-37 (mean 35, standard-deviation 4) upstairs (thrusday night): drinks: sucked, mixed w/o alcohol, or so it seemed, view was so so. downstairs: if you don't get a couch you're a nobody :). It's a nice interior and the bar downstairs had much better drinks.
