by Hye Mogro on I have to go here tonight and judging from the reviews, I have mixed feelings about this place or going out in the San Francisco scene which has been so played out. I have been in the night life scence(over 24 years and in 54 countries and hundreds of global cities) to know the vibrant night life scene. That's why I havent been out since I came back from Taipei and Manila one month ago, where the latter's clubs close at about 9am, and they party every night like a weekend night. But i have to go to my home girl's birthday party so I guess I am going to check out Harlot and the San Francisco night life which has passed its shelf life. For the guys, I don't know why you guys still go out on the weekends? It's a waste of time. I brought seven guy friends to Manila this winter holiday, and four of them already have girlfriends and four came back for the second time. You hook up every night; you just dont know with who.(women in Asia and South America are not constipated, stuck up, and are more liberal than American women in general). Isnt that a great feeling to know that you are going to meet someone everynight and hook up along with about six or seven phone numbers of hot girls? No sense of urgency or anxiety whether you leave for the clubs at 11pm or 3am cause you know you will hook up.So save your money, I am going for a month in May/June back to Asia and Brazil in July/August for holidays. You don't need to deal with rude bouncers, marina type girls who would not be given a second look in Manila or Rio. I will be there in May 16/June 17th in Manila. email me at my name at hotmall and I will give you all my contacts so you can have a good time. I guarantee you that you will not want to go out to a san francisco club after going to Manila or Rio and Florianopolis, Brasil. Going to brasil in July/August for three weeks..check out my pics on profile if u dont believe.. Ladies, same goes for you, brasilian men are hot and u wont have to deal with guys in striped shirts..Save your money and get your girl posse to Rio.
by Diana G. on A nice place to have either drinks and tapas, or a full dinner, with both latin and spanish food. The pizzas are delicious, as are many of the tapas. The sangria is great, and the white sangria is especially delicious. Staff are attentive, and the decor is very nice as well, or maybe it's just that the suit of armor cracks me up.
by Wendi W. on so most of the reviews are for 1984 thursday nights. i've only been to hot pants which is on fridays, and i haven't been super impressed. as far as the space goes, it's strictly ok. i can totally see how it would be a great place to get your drunk on, what with the seediness and low tech-ness of the whole place. i was excited about the 80's music in the front, but it sucks! come on, corey hart? there were about 800 other , better artists that made good dance music in the 80's. just do a little research before you spin! in the hip hop room, the dj played sexxxy back 2 times within an hour! ok. this isn't supposed to be top 40 radio. regardless of the musical flaws, it's a fun night to go out. just make sure you have some interesting friends with you, 'cause the music leaves alot to be desired. such is the curse of the "lesbian" dance night.
