My partner and I had dinner here last night and were pretty impressed. We parked on the street a block away, which wasn't an issue. Walking in, the popularity of the place was evident as the bar was hopping. The set up is a little strange, as you just wait for the host to notice you by the door. Space is tight, so I guess there's no space for a host stand. Decor is chic and understated, neat glossy on flat paint techniques. We had a little corner which was cozy. Our server was nice, but not overly so. Ordered some great little cocktails, loved the glasses. Appetizer of tuna tartar had some interesting presentation. We ordered a side of mac and cheese and gnocci, both delicious. I had the salmon, which came with a citrus topping that was great. Dessert was a little selection of 3 flavors of panacotta - chocolate was phenomenal! After dessert it took a while to get the check, which would be my only complaint. Overall, an intimate, classy, authentic place that Atlanta could use more of.

Complete and utter dump. I would never go anywhere near this hole if it weren't for the Market East station, and I suspect many other people wouldn't either (well, except for all the bums/losers who have nothing else to do). Avoid!

Club Waziema made me very happy on Friday night. I had never had Ethiopian food and it was great! Such simple ingredients and fabulous dishes. Holly and I shared the Vegetarian Stew. And we ate it all... the greens were delicious and the potatoes and Injera... melt in your mouth. Cool decor, loud people schmoozing and boozing with their buddies at the bar or at a table. The jukebox in the front room by the bar was spitting out a crazy mix of tunes... r&b, techno, Journey at random. I didn't make it to the back room - next time. Doesn't seem like a place I would want to go to mingle but if you want to grab a pitcher with a couple buddies and eat some kick-ass Ethiopian grub, Club Waziema will satisfy your needs. Damn, the Injera... seriously. Awesome.
