by Martin M. on So here is what to expect from the Greatest Bar. Downstairs: easy to get drink, decent price, some comfortable seats and not always too crowded. Dance floor is for the drunk. In other words be prepared to dance by yourself or have a co-ed crowd with you to take it over. 2nd floor is irrelevant, 3rd floor has a huge bar, really easy to get drink, dance floor situation is kind of the same as the 1st but at times with more people. I feel like the people on the 3rd floor always know each other. It seems to always be taken over by a certain crowd. Can't exactly pin point the college since it has varied. 4th floor is probably the most fun. On Random nights tho,no one is up there. Not sure what the pattern is. But the 4th is usually a hit or miss and worth checking out if you find yourself bored on the other two. I wouldn't revolve my night around the greatest, but a good place to start out. Also, some nights they have go-go dancers if you're into that "Vibe".
by Kerry Swonke on I'm not quite sure about this place either. When I first moved to ATL back in 91 my friend took me here. It gave me the shits, seriously. If you like this place and you're lost in Spartanburg, SC, go to the BEACON. Same sort of deal. Eat this stuff everyday and you're likely gonna have three chins. For those that love it, more power to you.
