by Sagi S. on We went there for restaurant week and had a great meal. We started with Humus and fresh pita bread and it was very tasty. On par with any Humus you would have in Israel. After the humus came the salads. A large assortment of tasty and refreshing small vegetarian dishes. Very much like you would get in many places in Israel, assortment of salads, pickled vegetables each with its own unique flavor. After the salads came the small plates. We had 8 different dishes. It was a nice way for diners to experience the many types of cuisine that make the Israeli kitchen (Yemenite, Lebanese, Egyptian, Balkan, eastern European and more). The dishes themselves were very good. I was missing a spicy element somewhere - I should have asked the server. The entree skewers were a little disappointing, we tried the Bulgarian and the Turk, one lamb and one beef. We thought the meat was a little dry and while very well seasoned we were missing some dipping sauce or something that would not leave us so thirsty. The deserts were very nice also - the baklava was nice and fresh with refreshing yogurt. I didn't try any of the cocktails so I can't comment on those. The wine list was a nice size and very extensive in the selections featured. We got a south African Pinotage which complemented the food. Service was good for the most part, the server did not visit the table as often as we would have liked to freshen the water. The decor is beautiful, very trendy and sleek, nice seeing the open kitchen.
by Cinderella Robes on Ugh. Traffic around this area is horrible....to get from one traffic light to the other takes about 30 minutes..literally! But I can't dock the hotel points for that..because it's not the hotel's fault. The rooms are expensive, but that is expected -- it's Hollywood. We had tried to pay with my boss's credit card since he has a corporate card and not me. The whole process took about 4 emails, 5 faxes, and ten phone calls. Would I go here again? No thanks.
