This place is probably the nicest club in LA right now. It gets five starts because they have the hottest bartender I've ever scene. You know that T- Pain song called Bartender, Yea thats exactly how I feel. I went on a rainy night but the girls all still came out. They had good music and very good vibe. The only negative part about the night was that I spent $150 on drinks.

The place itself was small but pretty nice, we paid $10 for cover, which isn't too bad I suppose. Wish we knew that Saturdays was house cause we were totally not digging most of the music. The crowd was a little old too (and this is coming for a mid-twenty-something-year-old)! I think next time I'll hit up azul around the corner before coming back to vessel.

I LOVE National Mechanics. A huge beer selection and fantastic food make this the best thing that they have done with this space since it was Revival. Seriously, this place has been cursed for so long, and it is nice to see that someone has finally made it a viable venue. The decor is funky and totally unpretentious, and the staff is the same way. A welcome respite in the midst of Olde City's dichotomy of ghetto fab and ultra-pretentious. This bar is neither. National Mechanics is really the type of place you can bring anyone - your parents, your best friend, even a date. The prices are reasonable, the food is good and the service is fantastic.
