Really a cute place that made me wonder if I was in a time warp. Came here for a brief time for the DYGay event ( http://www.rateclubs.com/ev...) last night, although my friend and I were so happy to just get a drink, we didn't look for the little area off to one side with the live music and the DYGay-er Ratecluber folk (although we did peak in later and wave hello before we vanished off to the rest of our evening haunts). My pineapple martini=yum yum yum, as well as my friend's strawberry cosmo. And the live music was oh so gay, but not in a effusively campy way (if it was, we didn't stay long enough to experience that) ;-). When the little concessions girl came around with her wares, that's the time I felt rather time-warped, as if we were in the 30s or 40s. Hah! Such a little tucked away treasure--had I not known of this place via the DYGay event, I would have totally missed the establishment. Fabulous!!!

My father never loved me...he used to tell me that were it not for the fact that he knew he'd need one of my kidneys someday, he would have sold me to a carnival, or sent me away to Chico State, with the rest of the unloved children. I am sure that were it not for my mother's encouragement, I would have never survived. You see, at an early age I knew I could paint, and I wanted to put something to canvas any chance I had...my mother saw this innate talent within me at an early age, and nurtured it. She would have me paint portraits of the many men she brought home while my father was working double shifts throwing recycled plastic bottles into the Bay. Often her lovers would pay for these portraits, or they would buy the 9mm videos I took of them. It made me feel like a true artist...it made me feel loved. 330 Ritch has some cool artwork as well, and the music was slammin' the other night.
