I've been coming here since the grand opening, and it has never failed to provide a good time! From the sleek interior to the sexy staff, it's safe to say Door 44 is easy on the eyes. Music is always bumping, and the scantily clad go-go's keep it bouncing. I've brought large groups of people here numerous times for various events (birthdays, engagement parties, even bachelorette parties) because the staff and owners have never failed to please. When it comes to paying the cover, I'd rather pay it here over any other club in Atlanta. The khaki club and sorority sisters can take it down the street... It's funny though, numerous times I've mentioned being in the Parlor to people who've been there and had no idea there was a downstairs. That's the true gem! Easy access to drinks and debauchery.... what more could you want? Con: Parking can sometimes be a bit sketchy, but hey it's Midtown.

The first time I went to Continental I was probably around fourteen and had no idea who Stephen Starr was. I don't even remember why my friends and I decided to come here, but once our Starr cherry was popped, we were hooked. When everyone else our age was going to Applebee's and eating chicken fingers, we were coming here and other Starr joints thinking that we were the shit. For a while, this was my favorite restaurant and it was really just because of the atmosphere. Starr definitely knows how to decorate a joint and I remember being in awe of all the different features of Continental: the swing chairs, the pit seating area, the two way mirror in the bathroom etc etc etc! They were things I never thought would be in a restaurant. Of course, I was fourteen and up until then my dining experiences were the decisions of my parents, but I mean, the restaurant is still cool and classy. Last summer was the first time I came here for drinks and I probably never will again. Continental attracts a certain crowd that my friend and I did not fit in with. My scene does not usually include post frat boys and high-powered execs. plus, the drinks are not cheap and the music was not good. I would've felt uncomfortable dancing anyway. From now on, my trips to Conti remain solely for the food. I love the Continental House salad, sans feta, and the thai chicken lettuce bowl. I'm pretty sure they changed the menu last time I was there so I don't remember what else I like. The bite size desserts are forreal bangin' and I am a dessert fiend. The Continental is not for everyone, it definitely attracts a certain crowd. Unfortunately, I am not a part of that crowd.

i went to the frying pan last week for a private party/charity auction. SUPER fun place!! the vibe is casual and they have a pretty extensive list of beers and wines. its like a playground for adults- tons of little caves to explore and the top deck of the barge is beautiful to hang out on during sunset. would be a really cool bar to rent out for bday parties on those super hot summer days!
