I've been coming here since the grand opening, and it has never failed to provide a good time! From the sleek interior to the sexy staff, it's safe to say Door 44 is easy on the eyes. Music is always bumping, and the scantily clad go-go's keep it bouncing. I've brought large groups of people here numerous times for various events (birthdays, engagement parties, even bachelorette parties) because the staff and owners have never failed to please. When it comes to paying the cover, I'd rather pay it here over any other club in Atlanta. The khaki club and sorority sisters can take it down the street... It's funny though, numerous times I've mentioned being in the Parlor to people who've been there and had no idea there was a downstairs. That's the true gem! Easy access to drinks and debauchery.... what more could you want? Con: Parking can sometimes be a bit sketchy, but hey it's Midtown.

The owners of Xochitl and Marigold Kitchen just added something great to the Philadelphia dining experience. With themed restaurants that includes Mexican cuisine and Southern comfort food, I expected to learn a much more intimate Israeli style cuisine. And that is exactly what I got. With a paper menu as your place mat, you are introduced to several different kinds of Israeli cuisine. Mezze items such as fried kibbe, crispy halomi, and Moroccan cigars are all pleasant and extremely different dishes that are meant to be shared "tapas" style. Unfortunately, I only traveled with one other person, so we did not dare to experience the Mesibah "party time" menu. However, I have only heard excellent things about their shoulder of lamb and whole fish wrapped in grape leaves. But I did experience the one thing that was perfect for two: their skewers. The Kinneret, salmon skewers in a pomegrante jus, hit the spot. And settled over saffron rice- perfection. Their drink menu is small but impressive for a 30 or so seat establishment. They focus on wines and most of them are very obscure. My trip was accompanied by a bottle of the Pinotage, which was a fantastic addition to my many meat filled dishes. The thing that brought it together was not only the service, the food, or the attentiveness of everyone in the restaurant. It was the single thing that was hard to find. To the left side of the restaurant, there is a large portrait of a street in Israel. And at the bottom of this, there is a yamakul that has a Philadelphia Flyers logo. If that isn't attention to detail, I don't know what is.

As a native New Yorker, I seldom go to places like Buddha Bar, however, I felt compelled to at least try it out for our Anniversary.  Yes, upon arrival you are transported to another time and place.  The music is outstanding, the vibe is romantic and the crowd heps to make the scene. However, for the prices they were charging for all of these experience, the food, most notable the sushi doesn't keep up to those standards.  I am also fully aware that the restaurant has to pack them in to make as much money as possible, but can we have at LEAST one to two feet of separation between the guests.  I am all for meeting other people, however the intimacy we wanted to have for our anniversary was lost as we were had no space. As the night wore on we were distracted by our two yenta neighbors one hour review of the menu and their indecisiveness, and the other side of us was the blackberry girls texting each other, despite the fact that they were drectly accross from each other!!! Anyway, in conclusion, its a Vegas style scene in the MeatPacking district.  The design is way over the top and I could see why its popular with the tourists and the like.  However, I won't be going back here since are far better Sushi and Asian fusion restaurants for the money you will spend here.  Perhaps we will head down here for drinks at the bar since we loved the Buddha Bar soundtrack and lighting.
