TIME: Wednesday night at prime dinner time NOTE: Ike sandwich place is temporary using the front desk and we waited in this stupid line not knowing any better. We didn't know until we were getting closer to the order taker. FIRST IMPRESSION: There's no one to greet you at Lime. You have to walk into the restaurant and intercept the waiter/busboy and express your interest to sit down for dinner. DECOR: Decorated like a modern club (white leather curvy booth seats and chairs with white tables and white globe lights. This place is loud like a club. You cannot have a decent conversation with someone in here. Or you can, but just have to scream at each other. Lighting is dim. I was so sick of the music by the time I left. BATHROOM: bathrooms are uni-sex (of course b/c it's location right in the heart of Castro). The bathrooms are pretty disgusting (and it really affected the way I view the restaurant) FOOD: Food was generally good when I ate it, but I must mentioned that I had the runs after getting home. Only 2 raw items I ate there: Poke & Oyster. Both were pretty good. 2 Way beef fillet was good. Ribs were messy but good. DO NOT get the prawns over papaya salad. The salad was actually good, but the prawns were super salty, so salty that it did not taste anything like prawn. SERVICE: Our waiter was "Massimo." Young tall and attractive. He was very nice and helpful. He was very friendly with a lot of the customers (hugs and all) and they were probably regulars or his friends. The wait staff is slim. I think he was the only guy taking orders for the entire restaurant. Someone else brought the food out and someone else cleared the dishes. PRICE: All are small sharing dishes adequate for 2 people. Prices range from $6 to $12. You will basically average around the $10 range. We took around 6 small dishes to be full and somewhat satisfied. So $60 food + $18 drinks + $7 tax + $13 = $98 for our meal which I would say isn't really worth it. OTHER NOTES: This place is not date friendly (assuming you want to talk and not scream) or kids friendly.

I dabble with Qbar but I roll deep with Trigger. I have serious love for this place. First off they have a sexy doorman, at least sometimes. When you walk in initially there are three? dancers usually a mix of boys and girls and all of them sexy with a theme like all go-gos. The soundtrack is fabulous, lots of good jams you remember. The smoking section is great, you can chat and meet people and also just breathe which in a crowded bar is great. My most positive view of Trigger comes from one bartender, I wish I knew her name. She gave me my last shot of tequila on last call after I was pretty shlammed on my Bday, and I will always remember how awesome she was to me! I love Trigger and prefer it over any straight bar in SF. The place is money.

great music, crowded as hell, great for dancing up against a ton of others, fun fun fun, even when you can't dance worth shit but like to nonetheless. Again, great music.
