by Lauren S. on Two years ago, I would have given EA a higher rating. I used to always have a great time here. Lately, it has just seemed a bit too uppity and obnoxious to enjoy a fun, laid back night out! I must say the layout is great, with the open courtyard in the center. Upstairs has fun bands some nights with dancing, but the clientele is a little off for me. I went a few weeks ago, and after having a great time all night, at every bar we stopped by, we walked into East Andrews and immediately wanted to go home. Sure, part of that was probably exhaustion from a long night out, but the atmosphere just wasn't keeping our interest. I hope the fun, old EA comes back because now it is on the lame side...
by Mr K. on Wow, Toes Tavern or as I knew it best The Handlebars. Good times, good times!! I used to frequent this place in the late 80's in fact I met my wife of 22 years there. I used to hang out there every Saturday night, buy pitchers of beer 2 for 1 before 8 pm, man we had some really good times there, hung out with Eddie Van Halen one night drinkin Heineken. It's not the same, but wad there last week, nice place, free peanuts, great assortment of brews......I had fun and a great stroll down memory lane
by Mitch Vongal on Before I came to The Bubble Lounge for the first time, I had this idealistic image in my mind of what it would be like-a luxe, sliver room with glass bubbles hanging from the ceiling, the finest white lace adorning the walls, and cocktail waitresses dressed like champagne fairies, fluttering around offering you divine tastings of sweet Champagne nectar... Yea, well...I definitely got a rude awakening when I finally did venture over there and saw how it's designed with dark, dungeonesque decor circa 1978...somewhat reminiscent of the playboy mansion. Nevertheless, I still enjoy The Bubble Lounge, even if it didn't live up to my ridiculous fantasy. They have an amazing variety of Champagne (obvie), and its a trusty, reliable spot to go to when you want to do something fabulous but keep it low-key at the same time. And, that downstairs cave-like room is a nice escape from the hoards of Marina douchebags looking for their next prey.
