Fado is a great place to grab a few drinks with friends. I like that the building is big, and you can choose which area/atmosphere is best for you - you can hang out on the dance floor all night, chill at a back booth, sit right up at the bar, or even hang out on the awesome rooftop patio upstairs. Their appetizers are really good, too - there is a sampler with chicken fingers, cheese dip, and a few other items that is delicious and perfect to share among a group. Last fall, some friends and I chose Fado as our spot to watch the opening UGA football game. Surprisingly, we were the only ones! We had to request that they put the game on, as they were showing only soccer. Not a problem; they were very helpful and willing to turn another tv on, but it was surprising to me to see no other UGA fans there!

A small place in Pasadena with a big heart! They only serve beer (which I don't like) but fortunately they had wine coolers and ciders (woot!). The vibe was great, barterders were cool, and great joint. Hopefully it doesn't get too busy and become upscale. We need more casual bars and this is a great one!

Dante's caught on fire on my birthday and they called to tell us and cancel our reservation for that evening. Considering everything they had going on that day, I thought it was nice of them to do that. This is a fun place to go with friends, as a couple etc. I have enjoyed every visit and the food is always excellent. Meeting Dante is always an added treat. I don't like the ship as much as sitting upstairs. And speaking of Dante, when they serve the chocolate fondue, it is served by him. Although I have never had a chance to order it, Dante once stopped by our table and gave us a sample from a table he was serving. It was out of this world. Just remember, you need to order it a week in advance and they only do one a night.
