I went on Saturday with a friend for dinner and I must say, I've experienced better. The waitress was unfriendly and not very helpful. She seemed really annoyed that we had invaded her section and was dying for us to leave despite the fact that our meal was quick. I thought the prices were really high for the quality of food and was less than impressed with my chinese salad and the bruchetta. From the looks of things, it seems as though this might be a great place for a night out with friends. The bar tender was building glass towers and the crowd was eating it up. I might head back to see what the nightlife is like, but I won't be returning for a meal anytime soon.

This place is awful!!! Rick, the former chef made so called vegan carob cake that was really chocolate that no one even the owner knew if it was bona fide vegan or if he used eggs and diary product. It is said that he was secretive and refused to allow anyone to watch him bake the cakes and refused to share the recipe. The place is very unsanitary I am told. It did not appear to be too clean. Also, The prices are extra high. There is no acknowledgement of what is organic or not. I hate to say this but, black folk (cafe owner )just don't know their stuff when it comes to being aware of good, vegan cuisine!!! THis cafe sold a lot of chocolate cakes @ $40/cake , cash under the misrepresentation that they wer carob cakes!!! Stay away!

F.P.N. must be one of the better spots in Midtown to enjoy a pint. They have a large outdoor area half covered half not, the covered area is a large bar with a few televisions playing the best matches and service has always been excellent. The food is never great and never bad. Smoking is allowed everywhere, even in the upstairs inside bar. Best part? It's on Crescent Street so if you want a little variety there are several other bars in the neighborhood.
