It's weird, it's eclectic, it's not packed with douche bags, they've got good food and a nice bar full of fun drinks. :) This spot is weird, but really cool. The food is EXCELLENT and in large proportions. The dining area is small, as is the bar, but it's also a fun atmosphere. Dia de los muertos paintings stare down at you from the walls on Velvet, the movie playing above the bar features Elvis and oh yeah, you may meet some colorful characters at the bar. I've met a tranny in a prom dress in a wheel chair and models here. You just never know at this spot.
by Ira Kleiman on Dante's caught on fire on my birthday and they called to tell us and cancel our reservation for that evening. Considering everything they had going on that day, I thought it was nice of them to do that. This is a fun place to go with friends, as a couple etc. I have enjoyed every visit and the food is always excellent. Meeting Dante is always an added treat. I don't like the ship as much as sitting upstairs. And speaking of Dante, when they serve the chocolate fondue, it is served by him. Although I have never had a chance to order it, Dante once stopped by our table and gave us a sample from a table he was serving. It was out of this world. Just remember, you need to order it a week in advance and they only do one a night.
