You know those nights when you methodically plan an evening out with the girls and you know at some point during the evening the bottom will fall out. This is what I was anticipating when I stepped out with the ladies a few weekends ago for a girl's night out. The plan was dinner at La Esquina and a night of dancing and whatever came our way. What came our way was GoldBar. When making the plans for this night out I dared not suggest GoldBar with the spastic door policy but after dinner we walked over and were immediately let in. I would like to think it was because we all looked pretty fierce that night and we blew the doorman's mind....lol. A great time was had by all, lots of dancing, sweating, jumping, screaming, hand waving (get your handsup) and singing. The dj was incredible not a bad song was played all night. To prove how good my time was at GoldBar, my feet were sore for two days (ahh epsom salt soak my hero). Drinks were a little pricey but it was expected, we never got shunned from the table marked reserved. The waitress was amazing in spite of how the crowd grew throughout the night. Do I think this night could be replicated at GoldBar again, nope, it was just one of those nights.

I love this place. Always good looking men and women, great place to shake it. Really cool atmosphere, and great promoters. I always have a great time but if you're a dude probably not the best place; Drinks are expensive and it's really small. Good looking girls however get the VIP treatment.

Mission Rock is awesome. I went for the Fourth of July celebrations, and it was a lot of fun. The drinks started early and the party was bumpin' by 10. You can order food, dance outside, go upstairs, sit down, stand up, dance, people watch, and look into the water. Upstairs also has outside seating, and well the only thing I didn't like was that there was no "in & outs" that night. I don't know how it is normal nights. I also didn't appreciate this whole "are you on a list?" crap, because some of the girls handling this special list didn't seem like they did too well in school. I can't wait to go again, but definitely a place to go and get your grove on, and drink on. Nice mix of ages, and well... the ocean breeze is nice. The dress code is labeled stylish, but seriously just don't come in pjs and I think you'll be alright. The food is just "OKAY". But when you're drunk, and need to eat, it'll do the job.
