Swayed over to this spot sola to find it almost empty (it was a very cold night), but the beats were definitely right on. Whiskey cokes kinda weak at 8 bones but the fun bar conversation and tunes compensated. Got my leg/ab work out to tribe, mos, 2pac, biggie, beenie man, cypress hill and more! Returned on a Fri to a sweaty spa of body bumping and less interesting people and $5 cover, eh... not bad overall. get that tv out of there!

I liked that spot b/c of the Asian lady that was usually bar tending and her young cute female Asian bartenders that always made it feel kinda like if you knew some secret code word or something that you could find out how to get a massage with a happy ending behind some secret door.... but I digress. the new Koko is cleaner and more loungey feeling. It's much cleaner and the crowd is also more upscale. I liked the old alcoholics like myself who would be there trying to get a quick drink before the next 38 showed up but now you see less desperate people (unless you count those desperate for ass). They also have DJs there now although no one was spinning last time I was there (which of course was the middle of the day). Guess at night though it feels more hip. Must go check it out soon...
