by Lauren S. on Two years ago, I would have given EA a higher rating. I used to always have a great time here. Lately, it has just seemed a bit too uppity and obnoxious to enjoy a fun, laid back night out! I must say the layout is great, with the open courtyard in the center. Upstairs has fun bands some nights with dancing, but the clientele is a little off for me. I went a few weeks ago, and after having a great time all night, at every bar we stopped by, we walked into East Andrews and immediately wanted to go home. Sure, part of that was probably exhaustion from a long night out, but the atmosphere just wasn't keeping our interest. I hope the fun, old EA comes back because now it is on the lame side...
by Jesse J. on Went last night to see D:Fuse. It is the only club in Phoenix with a Funktion One sound system. The club is really gothic themed inside but it is still pretty cool. I have only been on a Saturday so I don't know how the crowds are the rest of the week but on Saturday nights it's really good. They have a great bleacher type seating area right next to the DJ setup which is really cool and a decent size dance floor. Usually they bring in good DJ's on the Saturday nights and the drink prices are pretty average for a club.
by Rogelio Alfredo on People who wrote a bad review for the Middlesex Lounge obviously didn't go for the Yo Yo Yo 90's Dance Jam - Party at Screech's. I had a mother-effin blast. Granted, maybe this place is lame for other events, but I recommend attending the next 90's Dance Jam. What better way to spend a summer evening bustin' moves to some Ini Kamoze, En Vogue, and Skeelo? The DJ's did a splendid job spinnin' tunes I loved but had forgotten about. I just wish there was an actual CD in the CD case they gave out at the end of the night, but I forgive you guys. I'll definitely be at the next Dance Jam, no diggity no doubt!
