Swanky ambiance without the pretentious scene. I guess Wed/Thurs are hospitality industry nights. (well according to random patron i talked to) The front door had no cover before 11 and bartenders were attentive and personable. I think I partook in the "Absolut" or "Svedka" specialty cocktails. I wish I brought a date cause the dance floor was inviting and the "Go Go " dancers energetic! Anways, I will return soon.

This review is late, being that I went in Feb. '09, but I have to talk about Martuni's. FABULOUS! Had something called a Cherry Blossom.  The piano was rocking, "guest singers" were genuine, unisex bathrooms were kinda.....odd, but OK! The ONLY drawback was that they were closing down around Midnight. ( I think it was a Wednesday or Thursday). Didn't they know we had just come from an amazing concert? They didn't? Oh. Well, OK. Forgive them that, and that they probably wanted to go home to their families. And they were doing us a favor by getting back onto the road to Napa. A year absent is too long. Who wants to go to the City?

I've been here twice: once on Friday night, once on Saturday night. Supposedly, it's better to go on Saturday night but I wasn't impressed that night. It was really crowded, no place to stand OR sit(unless you reserved a table) and drinks were expensive. Most of the crowd looked like the "I'm too good for you" type but really they looked less than stellar. Hey, I'm not that drunk yet... This rating was for Friday night. WAY more chill, definitely less crowded, sporadic places to sit or stand but drinks were still expensive. The bubblicious champagne was really good and boy did it hit me harder than I thought it would. Upstairs had house/techno kind of music and the downstairs dungeon area had really random 80s/hiphop music. The crowd was pretty fun down there though. Worth going to if you feel like overpaying for a glass of champagne and relaxing. Not a place I'd spend my entire night though, unless I had a great group of friends to chill with :)
