by Eduardo Kiflezghie on Yoshi's is a great place to go for food and/or music. I have seen jazz shows there, and they were great. It is an intimate setting, and fun to be served drinks, appetizers and sushi at your table during a show. This same menu is available in a small dining section outside the club, where I got to eat often. In this dining section you can also order from their main restaurant menu. The one time I ate in the main restaurant, I was unimpressed by the food, though it looked like art, it was comprised of too much weird seafood that I am not into. Their spicy tuna rolls are the best I've found in town. Their cocktails are also amazing, especially the stormy weather. I also love the fries and their brown rice is probably the most amazing I've ever eaten!
by Ezekiel Trembley on Solid. Cheap pitchers, convenient location with parking in the back, not too loud or crowded. Friendly service that's efficient enough. Some outdoor seating in the front, and, hey, the traffic on Ponce usually isn't that overwhelmingly loud. Decent eats, including a surprisingly (faux) flavorful, albeit somewhat textureless, veggie burger. What's not to like?
by Adam R. on I still remember the first time I went here. It is literally a hole in the ground. Once you are in the hole though it is quite a great experience. It is built underneath its own parking lot which in of itself is a cool concept. It is very dark inside which I like. They play a very diverse amount of music, and their dance floor is always exciting. I like the decor on the walls as well. My only complaint, which seem to be common to many of my favorite places, is that they allow smoking. I hate smelling like crap when I leave a place, especially when it is no fault of my own. They also only take cash which is annoying in this day and age when even McDonalds takes credit. Oh well, it is always a fun time!
