by Nina H. on I went here on a Friday night... and WTF, it was SO empty!!! What's going on? I was so surprised how empty the place was... and kind of pissed. I mean, girls didn't have to pay for cover but our guy friends had to pay $10. Their drinks are also REALLY weak... I kept asking the bartender to pour a little bit more alcohol in my drink (it was a friggin midori sour but then again, I probably should've ordered something stronger anyway) BUT he was like "I can't, the liquor board's watching." And since I was kind of buzzed already, I was like "where are they?!" And then he walked away... sad. Anyway, I don't know what went wrong on Friday but this place is usually a lot more crowded and more fun. But I enjoyed the music too, my favorite song of the moment "Cookie Jar" by Gym Class Heroes played and I went crazy!!
by Deangelo Cademartori on Dear God, this place is a joke. The best attaction at the Avalon is that super cool guy in mens Bathroom. This place is TOO exspensive for just about EVERYTHING. And SERIOUSLY, if i knew that EVERYTIME i go to the avalon im gonna be surrounded by 45 year old asian men on ECSTACY id stay home. The Avalon gets 2 stars because SOMETIMES they have have good artists performing there, but as a venue This place SUCKS.
