Cons: - Compared to other popular eateries this place charges a hefty price (Atlanta terms) for rather small portions. Their main dishes are appetizer sized. - I don' t know what pear mostarda is, but it tasted like a Glade plugin to me. Pros: - If there was an award for "Best Server in Atlanta" our server (Matt?) would get my vote. He is THE best server I've come across in Atlanta and perhaps anywhere. Honest w/ his opinions, extremely good w/ his descriptions and recommendations, funny/charming, helpfu. I never do this. But the service was so great that I left him a personal note on our receipt. If I was a girl I'd prob have left him my number. Yes. Give Matt a raise. - Incredible food. Taste List (Number is the price) Letter is my personal grade. Taste&Share Fried goat cheese, honey and black pepper 7 : B- . It was good but just overhyped since everyone at rateclubs says it's a must get. Tasted kinda cream cheesy sweet to me. Awesome texture though. My regards to the cook and his awesome ability to perfectly fry balls. Steamed mussels in romesco 12 : B. Hard to screw up mussels. But they were good b/c mussels are always good. Local pork belly, salted cabbage and cranberry bean salad : B- . We Koreans know our Pork Belly. It was overcooked (a little dry). The intention was there but the execution missed. Poached Egg (can't find it online): A . This was a hit with our group. How good was it? One of the guys in our party was sick and out of it. Didn't want to eat/drink anything. Yet he livened up and devoured this dish. It healed him. Mains Seared duck breast, chestnut panisse and pear mostarda 24 : A- . Amazing texture, crispy skin on outside but juicy duck inside. Wish the presentation was better (looked like mini duck sashimi). Also, not a fan of the pear mostarda. Tastes like a Glade Plugin. Sauteed halibut cheeks with white wine and fingerling potatoes : A+ . First time I've ever had a fish that somehow magically took on the texture/taste of lobster. Hard to describe. It was (muah!) exquisite. Grilled lamb ribs with red wine and roasted mushroom 22 : B . Strange for me to say this but wish it was more gamey in the lamb way. It tasted like regular beef to me (maybe overcooked). San Marzano tomatoes, house-made mozzarella and basil Pizza 13 : C+. Pizza was good but why would you come here to get pizza? Don't. Pastas Chili-braised pork with garlic and homemade pappardelle 16 : B . Like the texture of the pasta (seems made in house). Skimpy on the portions though. Tagliolini, tomato confit, roasted wild mushrooms and sage 16 : B+ . These mushrooms are awesome. I don't remember anything else but how good the mushrooms were. Mmm.. Overall the experience was wonderful and I will come back for sure. However, I'd have to say that I was tempted to rate it 4 stars but just the "Matt-factor" pushed it up to 5.

What a mixed bag of reviews! I had a fabulous time at Slide last Thursday. I had no issues getting into the door, walking down the stairs (couldn't actually slide down the slide since I was wearing a dress and heels) into a nice dim room with plush lounge sofas and great house music. The place reminds me of the Crown Bar in Los Angeles, but with better music :) We never had problem getting drinks and waiting fo them. The drinks were strong, the bartenders were attentive and worked to please, what's there not to like? The crowd had a fairly equal amount of gals to guys and everyone looked like they were having a blast. Perhaps the weekend draws in a more upward pointing nostril and an "interesting" crowd but Thursday nights are fantastic!

How disappointing! This is the only bowling alley below 42nd st and it is bad. Because they basically have a monopoly, they can charge whatever they want for a game, which is a lot. BUt they know that they can make a lot more money from getting drunk twenty and thirty somethings to come and bowl than from serious bowlers, so most of the place it taken up by the bar and lounge area, which is kind of neon and neat but expensive. THe lanes are the worst I have ever bowled on bar none, I don't think they've been waxed in years, seriously (my ball comes back with crud on it) BTW you wax your lanes daily if you know what you're doing. It's hard to navigate the place with two unlabled floors. IF you want to bowl and drink, this place is okay, but if you're serious about bowling don't waste your time.
