by Quintin Keifer on Came here for the second time last night and had a pretty fun time, it's not a swanky upscale club but it's definitely a good place to come kick it with friends on a Sat night. I was thrilled when told I didn't have to pay cover, while I was standing in line to pay one of the bouncers pulled me out of line and said, "Ma'am the manager says you can just go in, you can thank him he's right down there". Sweet. Yay for being a cute girl I guess? Lol, there were other girls in line and it looks like the cover applies to girls too from reading these other reviews. So my night definitely started off good, and I totally would've thanked the manager had he not been walking away from me and on his phone, but thank you mister manager =] I really like the variety of rooms they have, the dance floor and bar, lounge/sitting area, and another separate bar area connected to the billiards room. It's nice to be able to go into another room when you need time to just sit. The dance floor doesn't even get fully packed because of how big it is, which I thought was really nice, I like being able to breathe while I'm dancing. Drinks are the usual prices, I paid $10 for a small tokyo tea (regular size is $15), $7 for a cranberry vodka, and $6 for a corona. The music was alright, they had some good beats but they also played a couple songs I couldn't really dance to. I don't really like how asian the crowd is here, that's the only reason I'm knocking off one star. Even though I'm asain too, I like a more mixed crowd, and I'll admit I kind of have more of a thing for white guys, lol. I'd definitely come back though, so yay! I'm a fan.
by Brian N. on Very fun place. Rooms are completely soundproof, because we were crazy drunk and loooouud. not one complaint. as others have said earlier, LOTS of korean music (obviously); was a little difficult to navigate to find American stuff (possibly as a result of inebriation and not so much the books' organization though).
by Jackie Plympton on The SF Citadel in San Francisco is a wonderful space. If you are into BDSM/Fetish and education/play, this is the space to be "Safe Sane & Consensual" play only. The space is very open and welcoming, but you have to be wiling to be open and not so shy. If you go there, tell the owners or the greeters so they can find someone to show you around and get you acquainted. Volunteer some time to get to know people and feel comfortable in a new tribe. One can really meet folk if you help out at events and volunteer. The place is clean and is keep in top shape by the many volunteers who help run the place. Don't be naive, use common sense as you would do in the regular world. Don't allow anyone to boss you around, touch you w/o permissions, or messing with your personal boundaries. There are always a few who lurk and pry on newbies etc. Read up and get educated. It is a great space to attended educational classes, play parties, community events and other event s hosted by outside sponsoring organizations/individuals.
