Stopped here before leaving Austin, my buddy was raving about the place. I like the surrounding area where this one is located, parking was a bit of an issue on a busy Saturday night. We only had to wait 10 min to be seated. The waiter was fairly quick for how busy it was, nice atmosphere as well. Horrible beer selection but I expected this compared to other Tex Mex. The chips and green chillie sauce was interesting, tasty and spicy. I ordered the Chicken quesadillas and I was pretty dissapointed, many slices had only 3 cubes of chicken so it ws mainly just alot of tortilla and cheese and it was the first time I had ordered quesadillo's in which tomatoes were actually added inside, I do not like that. I tried some of my wife's fajitas which were pretty tasty and I did enjoy the re-fried beans that came with it. Overall, interesting place to stop but pretty mediocre food thats a tad bit pricey for what I actually received.

I went to Shout last Friday night and well the DJ absolutely sucked...I guess Friday is Techno night but I prefer a bit more Hip Hop...Anywho I was told not to eat the food prior to arrival so I didn't but it has a great atmosphere....It's a lounge type thing upstairs and very good for groups to go....I was a little suspicious about couples who were just there to people watch but I had a great time with my girls...The crowd is late 20s on up to 40s +....and the men are def. there to mingle (to my disadvantage because Im not single).. I would go back but I would probably try a Saturday night instead but they have a great little setup... Be ready to pay he $10 for valet if you opt to and the upstairs lounge/mini club is free

You know I dread going to Latin/African music clubs normally. Honestly, it is because when I get there, I go from super rhythmically talented amongst my peers, to the girl with two left feet. But tonight at Little Baobab I had a random stranger come up to me and tell me "You must be part African, because Asian girls don't dance like that." Then he proceeded to tell other strangers of this new found enigma, as I kinda smiled and was embarrassed. And no, it was not a pick up line because... he did not dance with me. The night started with reggae, which is too slow for my tastes, but the moved onto some African hip hop/Latin tracks. It was just nice to get out and release some stress. Also great were the guys we went with, who were there in a pinch to help get rid of seedy contenders. It was really fun and flattering for a night. But I really miss my rap/hip hop.
