by Hannah M. on I don't want to hype this place up too much, only to lead to dissapointment, but this is what I thought every Miami club would be like. Salsa dancers dancing on an oversized bar stage, live singers, live band playing bongos and guitar, music, lights, people dancing, upstairs balcony, mojitos, just lots of things going on. When I went to Miami all I wanted was authentic Cuban food and a place to visit like this. Because it's on the main drag Ocean Drive, you can always leave, walk around and then come back again. Questions to the ladies that work there: How are your booties so big and you don't have cellulite? Go on Saturday, they do charge cover $5-$10.
by Al B. on The place to meet some of the most obnoxious people in Manhattan, but who can resist the dollar admission? You'll see some great shows for almost nothing ... just make sure to get there drunk, because they make their money back on drinks and then some.
by Shanta Wiersma on I'm sure I will edit the, as I did eat here within its opening week. Amazing room! Somehow balances the industrial-style architecture with a certain insider intimacy (great lighting, old-school New York steak house banquettes - a la Odeon or Bowery Bar). My biggest complaint was a request for medium rare that resulted in near-charred (I mean, you're a steakhouse!!), but other than that it was wonderful for the atmosphere, service and company. I hope to return and up the rating.
