by John P. on Maybe i went on an off night considering the reviews here, but i did not think this place was that great last Friday night. I went here with a group of friends. One of the girls we were with was checking this place out to see if she wanted to have her birthday party here. We got here around midnight, maybe a little after. There was a line, but it moved pretty quickly, the total wait was probably under 10 minutes. There was a $5 cover which usually puts me off right away, but whatever, i was trying somewhere new. We walk through the door and basically can't walk forward anymore. The place was packed, way too packed. You could barely move in the place. Making your way towards the bar is a bitch. Once you actually get up to the bar the service is pretty fast. For a dance club there weren't many people dancing. I actually don't know how you could dance since the place is so packed. We stayed for a drink and bounced, and the girl decided she's having her party somewhere else. I'm gonna give this place another try considering I love hip hop and dancing, i'm hoping i went on an off night.

The food is good, the drinks are not too expensive and you get to get a tan/ watch the sun set on the Hudson. Also if you go, I recommend getting a table upstairs on the larger boat towards the water, and also recommend checking out the inside of the smaller boat (its creepy but awesome). You really can not go wrong with this place (weather permitting)

Geeze, this place is douche central! The music sucks, the people suck and I'm not cool enough to chill with these people. They lean towards what they think is cool. Door 44 is far from cool. And the 2 guys who claim to be the co-owners of the place are real cocky. So sad to say this, but this place makes Graveyard look good. I highly recommend Jesse James to ride his chopper through this place and piss all over it.
