ya we went here for ladies night and it was really ghetto. The website has really nice pics of the place and it looks fancy and they require a dress code so you'd think this place doesn't suck..... ya, the girls look cheap and the guys continuously cat call you. I definitely felt very high class... needless to say we left.

Woodfire Grill made my entire trip to Atlanta worthwhile. I was disappointed that Kevin wasnt there (I'm a Top Chef junkie) but his influence was clearly present.  We had 6 people and ordered the 5 course sampler, and a variety of food preferences (vegetarian, pescatarian, meat eaters, no mushroom, no cream) and they were able to accomodate with delicious plates over all 5 courses.  I have to say, I've NEVER understood wine pairings (I'm not savvy enough to "get" why the food and wine go togehter) and I had a revelation at dessert.   I GOT IT.  Thank you, Woodfire, for giving the south excellent dining!

I recall from law school that Continental Midtown's rooftop lounge was a phenomenal place for an evening of purchasing expensive drinks and mingling amongst, not with mind you, attractive women not interested in speaking to me.  I was dragged here perhaps three out of four Thursday evenings per month by attractive women who would generally not be interested in speaking to me save for the fact that we were classmates.  They never paid for their drinks, of course, so they could appreciate it for what it was intended to be, i.e. a bunch of nice things put together in a room & some interesting lighting.  The French and the pretentious might refer to this concept as CM's "raison d'etre"; Stephen Starr calls it "making it rain." Some time later, I moved into an apartment nearby.  I went several months before venturing back, since my memories from my earlier visits were not very kind.  As before, it was not my decision to come here.  But return I did and found that the food is not so bad.  Still overpriced but not so bad. The udon noodle soup with chicken dumplings surprised me first with a flavorful broth.  I remained pleased by the lightness of the dumplings.  I liked this very much and would not mind paying for this myself. Next, the Green Submarine (avocado, sprouts, sun-dried tomatoes, etc. on a multigrain baguette) was merely acceptable, lacking anything to markedly distinguish it from e.g. the veggie hoagie at Jay's Deli.  The apples in the fresh fruit which accompanied the sandwich were beginning to turn brown by the time they arrived at the table. CM, please, if you're going to charge $8 or $9 for this dish have the decency to either hit the sliced apples with some lemon juice or make sure they arrive at the table while I would still like to eat them. The drinks I tried, an Old Fashioned and a Rob Roy, were both perfectly decent, though the former may have been sweeter than I prefer.  Regardless, both were fine. There you have it: another Starr establishment I neither really loved nor hated.
