by jenn h. h. on what a delicious, delicious place for a hearty brunch.... the food is fresh and delicious, and portions are absolutely ginormous. you can't possibly go hungry here! our french toast was great and so were the huevos rancheros. this place gets super packed, so get here early or you will be in for a wait. this place has a total industrial feel, which is cool, but also contributes to the excessive noise level here. but just try to tune that out and enjoy your excellent grub!
by Joe S. on Expect a douchy young 20's crowd, which has its ups and downs. The up is that it can get pretty fun: a guy got egged on to jump off the second story deck into the Hudson. The negative is that he came back and lifted his buddy's chair from under him and the guy spilled ketchup all over himself. Bottom line, this is a great spot to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon on the waterfront drinking Coronas.
by Shala Wiltz on Meh. I've experienced better. That pretty much sums it up. The decor is fabulous, I'll give them that. The menu, however, is hit or miss. And, I really didn't like how they force the group to agree on 5, 8 or more dishes. You agree on which items you'd like, and then the chef prepares it in however many portions applies to your group. It took us forever to debate, negotiate and finally settle for which items to choose. The free medditeranean pita-type bread with creamy yogurt/cheese dip was my favorite food item. That shit was good! Our waitress was maybe new to serving, or very busy and somewhat frazzled. The service reflected that. And also, the dinner took FOR-ever. We actually ended up just canceling our last two dishes to get out of there in time before the bars close. The rest of the staff was very friendly; coming to check on us, saying excuse me, how are you doing, ect...but the patrons were very typically LA-sceney. The drink menu was 'aight. I had one drink I enjoyed, but the mojito they served me after that tasted like it had a lot of stuff added into it that didn't need to be there. I wont be running back to have dinner, but I might stop in again for a drink and a bite at the bar.
