by Mish L. on It's 11am and we're walking through the streets and hold up, wait a minute... Nick's Crispy Tacos is open and before us! Having had this place bookmarked forever, I dragged on the poor boyfriend's arm with glee upon spotting the signage. Love makes you do crazy things... and eating tacos at 11am when you've just had breakfast is one of them. Step inside to a world of rougeness! Walk over to the side and place your order, take your number and sit at a table or booth. Carne asada taco, Nick's way... holy smokes they hooked it up with a phatty dolup of guacamole, pico de gallo, pinto beans and loaded that taco to the hilt! Delicious flavors, two soft corn tortillas, the inner one made crispy and the outer tortilla holding all that goodness together. How could I not love it? Verde and red salsa on the table if you'd like to pack a little more punch, and of course, extra napkins cuz you may find it getting a little messy. :-) Add to that an order of Watermelon agua fresca... so refreshing and if you love watermelon, this is the ultimate drink for you. Easy on the wallet and a great spot for a snack or lunch (or both)! Go early and you'll beat the crowds that I'm sure flock in mobs to this spot.
by Nataly F. on Yeah, this place i DO NOT like! I've been here quite a few times back in past and have always been disgusted by all the creeps in this place. UGH! Though I've been here for concerts, and its not a bad venue to hold one, but this is def not a place to go clubbing.

My roommate was having his 31st birthday dinner there 3 weeks ago, our preparty before heading to Homestead. He called ahead to get a table for 7. The blond waitress with the scowl on her face (hopefully not permanent) took care of us. We waited at least 10 minutes to get our drink order in and another 10 to get the drinks. I would have understood if it was crowded, but only a 7 or 8 people besides us were in the restaurant. It too another 50 minutes to get our food, and when asking about our order, the server gave the look you give someone you dislike when you wake up on the wrong side of the bed. She snapped at us the second time we asked. The ambiance is quite nice with the piano and lighting, but it was completely ruined by the servers attitude. Not to mention, it took over an hour to get our food. I had the hamburger - it was below par, but not terrible. I will never go here again. If I want a mediocre burger, I'll cook it myself and skip the bad attitude.
