Worst restaurant experience I've had in a long time. The waiter was uneducated about the menu, all of the entrees were pre-made making it impossible to remove or substitute ingredients based on your preferences - god forbid you don't want mushrooms in your veggie quesadilla, looks like you're out of luck. And for everything being pre-made it sure took awhile to get our order, when we finally did the food itself was mediocre at best. Bottom line: don't waste your time or money.

I'll start out saying that my entire review is biased.  If you happen to share my biases, then my review will be very positive.  If you don't, then you can instantly discount 2 stars.  So, what are these biases, you ask? BIASES: - I live around the corner.  Some people exaggerate when they make that claim, but I literally do not have a single stoplight between me and the bar. - When I'm in SF, I usually don't want the full club scene (i.e. long lines, high prices, big crowds).  If I want that, then I'll go to Vegas or LA. - I weigh my ratings heavily on little things, like the bathroom.  This place has a decent bathroom. So when I'm looking for a place to chill and grab some drinks, I like Eve.  I really like how predictable it is, too.  From 9-11pm, the place will be empty.  It might even be a little guy-heavy.  But between 11:30pm and 12 midnight, the place will be packed and the ratio will even out.  Knowing this really helps, because we can always leave before it gets too busy, or I can grab a spot early with full confidence that the night will still turn out great. In all the times that I've been here, the crowd has been very mixed.  Personally, I like that, but it depends on your tastes.  This isn't a dressy club with everyone trying to impress (which is pretty true for most places in SF). I'll also point out that I really like the staff, including the DJs.  One of my favorite bartenders is Misty, and she's a blur of motion when things get busy - a true sight to behold: taking orders, popping bottles, mixing drinks, making change. PROS: - Great bar staff - Location down in SOMA, close to Montgomery BART - Great happy hour specials (no food though) - Lots of tables, and very rarely have I seen them reserved for bottle service - Usually have good DJs and a fun crowd - There's a crepe food cart on the corner of 2nd and Howard which is open late CONS: - It's a little small

You get one whole star for NOT being the Roxy anymore. Seem to be booking better bands recently, but in order for me to go here it has to be for someone I really, really, really like.
